2022
vancroft Malbec 2022
Plum, violet, graphite. From the lower terrace, fermented in concrete egg, six months on neutral French oak. Drinks now, will keep eight years.
Everything we have bottled and still hold — four wines from the current release, eight library wines back to 2014, and one mixed case for the long table.
Library quantities are small. The Reserva 2018 is down to thirty-eight bottles; the 2014 to four. When a vintage finishes, it does not come back. Tasting notes below are from Lucía and from the printed sommelier sheet that ships in every case.

Iron, blackberry, sweet pipe tobacco. A slow-developing vintage that finally arrived in 2024.
2014
The last four bottles. A late-picked, structured vintage. Sold by allocation only.
2019The bridge vintage — between the cellar Lucía inherited and the cellar she rebuilt.
2020Hot vintage, picked early. Smaller crop than usual. Bay, redcurrant, a long savoury finish.
2019Walnut, beeswax, dried apple. The last white we made with significant new oak — a record of where we used to be.
Three bottles of Estate Malbec 2022, two of Franc 2022, one of Blanco 2023 — chosen so the meal can open with the Blanco, settle into the Franc through the middle courses, and find its long ending with the Malbec.
Ships with a printed sommelier sheet and the recipe for Lucía’s slow-roast lamb.
Tasting notes, pH, total acidity, residual sugar, élevage notes, food pairings and allocations — all on a single one-sided sheet, refreshed at every release.
Four wines, one page, every number you would need on the floor. Updated every spring with the new release.
Six recipes from the long table, paired through the current release. Slow-roast lamb, river trout, the bread Elena bakes on Sundays.
